Perfolio was conceived by Hagerty Consulting to bring together a higher level of transparency, accountability, organization, and quality control to its consulting practice. Hagerty has made the tool available to private and public organizations to track companies, vendors, and projects, manage resources and knowledge, obtain or provide feedback, and measure performance among a variety of dimensions.

Perfolio is supported by a dedicated software engineering and account management team located at Hagerty's headquarters in Evanston, Illinois.
